PROGRAM
Day 1: Cusco - Cloud Forest - Lodge
Paititi
We leave Cusco early in the morning in our comfortable bus.
Ascend to the heights of Paucartambo. On the way we visited the
burial towers or Ninamarca Chullpas. Then descend through the
mysterious forest of clouds, full of beautiful orchids,
heliconia and primitive ferns. We stop to give you the
opportunity to witness the cock of the rock (Rupícola peruviana)
in the mating ritual. There are also opportunities to observe
trogones (Trogon sp.) And much more. If we are lucky we will
find the only bear in South America, the spectacled bear (Tremarctos
ornatus). In the afternoon we arrive at the port of Atalaya
where we board the boat 30 minutes Paititi Lodge where we spend
the night in typical hostel with bathrooms and showers.
Day 2: Paititi Lodge - Boca Manu
After a delicious breakfast, the group continued their journey
by boat to navigate the Alto Madre de Dios River. On the way we
see a great variety of birds such as herons, kingfishers, and
always the presence of the vultures of which the most
spectacular is the condor of the jungle, the king of vultures (Scarcoramphus
potato) and Jaguar (Panthera onca). At noon a brief stop in the
village of Boca Manu for rest and then continue our journey in
the Madre de Dios River impressive until you reach the Lodge of
Boca Manu. Lodge typical night with bathrooms and showers.
Day 3: Boca Manu - Limonar - Cocha
Otorongo
The trip continues and you begin to see why Manu is so famous
for its wildlife. On the banks of the river are seen groups of
turtles, white caimans (Caiman cocodrylus) or perhaps some
capybaras (Hydrochaeris hydrochaeris) and more. In the afternoon
we arrived at our camp located on the Cocha Otorongo, shortly
after we will organize a walk to visit the lake and the
observation tower from where we have the opportunity to observe
wolves River. Here at Manu animals have never been persecuted by
hunting men. SAFARI night in camp (in bed). Showers and
bathrooms available.
Day 4: Cocha Otorongo - Cocha Salvador -
Cocha Otorongo
The group visit Cocha Salvador today is 30 minutes from the
Cocha Otorongo. We visited the inlet to paddle quietly on a
catamaran that gives us the possibility to observe the wolves of
the river again and a variety of strange birds as the cock

return to our camp at Cocha Otorongo. Overnight in camp-roof

Day 5: Cocha Otorongo - Boca Manu
Today we awoke to the roar of the Howler Monkeys, unfortunately
we must begin our return to Boca Manu. Optional night hike
around the lodge. Night in hostel. Showers and bathrooms
available.
Day 6: Boca Manu - Whitey (Macaw Clay
Lick)
After a delicious breakfast we continue our journey into the
stunning Madre de Dios River to camp which is very close to the
amazing macaw clay lick. Where we have a walk to explore the
various trails around the camp and spend the night, night in
camp on roof platforms. Bathrooms and showers are available.
Day 7: Blanquillo - Labyrinth - Puerto
Maldonado
After taking a delicious breakfast we went to hide in front of
the Collpa, your guide explains the reason for the presence of
parrots and macaws here. Gradually, dozens of parrots begin to
go down to the clay lick, often have been to hundreds of them.
Then follow the most colorful macaws (Altar sp.). After this
spectacular "show" we continue our journey by boat on the Madre
de Dios River impressive where we can appreciate the natural

the Port of LABYRINTH where we take the bus 45 minutes more to
reach the city of Puerto Maldonado where we spend the night in a
hostel.
Day 8: Puerto Maldonado - Cusco
This day after breakfast we have two choices, we can have a free
morning to explore the city of Puerto Maldonado, Or you can
visit the observation tower where we can appreciate the work of
wood carving, then move to the airport to take flight return to
the city of Cuzco.
Conservation Rules
Our passengers must meet the following rules for the proper use,
comfort and enjoyment of the trip to the Area Tourism and
Recreation Manu.
1. Staying in the right place at the program and permission.
2. Visit only authorized areas
3. Do not interfere in the activities of park rangers and
researchers
4. No contact with native people and respect their customs.
5. Do not collect species of flora and fauna.
6. Do not carry firearms.

Important

- You must be in Cusco at least 2 days before the walk and be in
our office in Cusco. To confirm their presence in Cusco and also
