Explore "Valle Sagrado", the sacred valley of the Inca's
Full Day
The beautiful
Vilcanota/ Urubamba valley is popularly called Sacred Valley of
the Incas. The climate is pleasant here.
The most important point of interest in the valley is the city
of Pisaq with its ruins and colorful Indian market. Here you can
buy Peruvian weavings, jewelry, and pottery, and get a taste of
its traditional Indian market where agricultural goods are
traded.
We continue our trip through the "Valle Sagrado" to
Ollantaytambo. After the Inca’s lost Cuzco, they built their new
capital in this place. However, they never finished it.
The Inca town on which the present day town of Ollantaytambo is
based is clearly seen as a fine example of the traditional Inca
City planning of Canchas or blocks, which are almost entirely
intact and still occupied.
During the tour enjoy the visits to the villages, terraces,
temples, irrigation systems, granaries, the fortress and the
temple of the Sun built by Pachacuteq Inca, using Colla Indians
from Lake Titicaca
This tour is available in Pool Service and in Private Service.
