Inca Jungle is an
alternative trek to Machu Picchu, alternate route from four days
of adventure that leads to Machu Picchu. This walk is available
all year round, we have fixed departures with small groups.
PROGRAM
Day 1 : Cusco - Abra Malaga - Santa Maria
Pass by the Hotel at 7.30 am. To then go by bus, we will have a
panoramic view of the city of Cuzco and Ollantaytambo Chinchero
followed, cross by which one can admire beautiful scenery of
snow-covered mountain as Veronica. Arriving at Abra Malaga.
(4315 m) From here we begin our adventure by bike one of the
most beautiful scenery on our way to find the rugged highlands,
we will see the vastness of the valley to go down to a temperate
zone to jungle with a more abundant flora and fauna
characteristic of forest. Finally after our bike tour will
arrive in Santa Maria (1200 m) during the bike ride will have
the support of our car for a mishap to occur. In Santa Maria we
will have our first night lodge stay.
Day 2 : Santa Maria - Quellomayo - Santa
Teresa
After breakfast we start our hike along trails full of
vegetation, where we see the cultivation and harvesting of
coffee, and the plant sacred Inca Coca, flora and fauna,
medicinal plants, birds, butterflies, snakes, fruit exotic
jungle as mango, pineapple, papayas, avocados etc. Then we
reached the village called Quellomayo, here we will have lunch
and time to rest and then continue our walk to the natural
medicinal thermal baths Colcamayo where you can enjoy a
refreshing bath and then enter the village of Santa Teresa,
overnight at Lodge.
Day 3 : Santa Teresa - Hidroelectrica -
Aguas Calientes
We get up early after our breakfast we continue our walk near
the Urubamba River (amazing enigmatic River Valley of the
Incas), the trip we will see a variety of vegetation. We arrived
at hydroelectric, where rest and have lunch. From there we
walked for 2 hours and travel to our destination "Aguas
Calientes, where we will settle in our hotel selected,
overnight.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu -
Cusco
Early ascend the Inca citadel Machu Picchu wonder of the world,
where we take the bus to take us to the enigmatic city of the
Incas, will tour for two hours and free time to explore
different places like Waynapicchu, Temple of the Moon Inca
Bridge, then return to the town of Aguas Calientes to take the
train back to Ollantaytambo and bus from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.
# Day 4:
Huayna Picchu is located behind the mountain where Machu Picchu
in order to take up aerial view of the Inca citadel. There is a
checkpoint at Machu Picchu to climb Huayna Picchu. You must
enter your name and receive a ticket to climb Huayna Picchu. The
guide provides information how to get the ticket, but need not
pay anything else. Only 400 people can visit a day divided into
two shifts. Machu Picchu receives over 1000 visitors a day and
generally lacking quotas to climb Huayna Picchu. No reservation
is possible. Generally, travelers arriving by other paths get
quotas because they reach more before Machu Picchu. To get the

# The support team plays hard work so that everything goes well
during the walk. Mainly carriers who do the work heavier. The

# Aguas Calientes is a small town with restaurants and hotels is
at the bottom gives the mountain of Machu Picchu, it is normal
that a traveler wishes to stay overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Important
- The Inca Jungle is not a simple walk is an adventure for over
2800 meters. The first day can be stressful for some people.
Before this can have problems with altitude, must be prepared
for eventualities how are you, headaches, heart palpitations,
shortness of breath even vomiting.
- If you have any health problem that depends on some special
attention, we recommend that you do not walk the Inca Trail
because at least two days we will be outside of any care you may
want.

- You must be in Cusco at least 2 days before departure date to
