Lares Valley, is an
alternative trek to Machu Picchu, alternate route from four days
of adventure that leads to Machu Picchu. This walk is available
all year round, we have fixed departures with small groups.
PROGRAM
Day 1: Cusco – Baños Termales de Lares –
Huacahuasi
We will leave from Cusco in the morning 5h00 am. And we are
heading towards the sacred valley through the town of Calca,
reaching the hot springs of Lares. In this place will have a
free time to swim. After lunch we will begin to walk for 2 hours
until we reach our first camp, overnight.
Day 2: Huacahuasi - Azul Cocha -
Patacancha
After our breakfast we continue our walk through the valley to
the community of Huacahuasi, in this place people produce
tissues and we can see his great skills and brilliant techniques
in the manufacture of blankets and clothing. Passing the village
we begin climbing up to the second step Abra de Condor Pasa
(4100 m). From here we can see an amazing view of the snow 5750
meters Veronica Descend to our second camp, overnight.
Day 3: Patacancha - Ollantaytambo - Aguas
Calientes
After our breakfast we descend the valley to reach the community
Huilloc we will have lunch and continue our trek up to the
community where we can appreciate Pumamarka Inca terraces,
finally arrive at Ollantaytambo located in a fertile valley,
protected by huge mountains. This is a perfect place to
appreciate the majority of archaeological remains left by our
ancestors and a variety of flowers and birds. Then we drive to
Ollantaytambo station from where we board the train which will
take us to Aguas Calientes. Accommodation in a comfortable
hotel.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu -
Cusco
After our breakfast ascend to the citadel where we take the bus
to take us to Machu Picchu, after registering we will have a
guided tour of 3 hours to all places and temples which guard the
citadel of Machu Picchu, having enjoyed all the tour, take the
bus back to Aguas Calientes and then have free time to learn
more about the people before returning to Cusco, transfer to
Hotel.
# 4 day :
Huaynapicchu is located behind the mountain where Machu Picchu
in order to take up aerial view of the Inca citadel. There is a
checkpoint at Machu Picchu to climb Huayna Picchu. You must
enter your name and receive a ticket to climb Huayna Picchu. The
guide provides information how to get the ticket, but need not
pay anything else. Only 400 people can visit a day divided into
two shifts. Machu Picchu receives over 1000 visitors a day and
generally lacking quotas to climb Huayna Picchu. No book has
before. Generally, travelers arriving by other paths get quotas
because they reach more before Machu Picchu. To get the best

# The support team plays hard work so that everything goes well
during the walk. Mainly carriers who do the work heavier. The

# Aguas Calientes is a small town with restaurants and hotels is
at the bottom gives the mountain of Machu Picchu, it is normal
that a traveler wishes to stay overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Important
- The Lares Valley is not a simple walk is an adventure for over
2800 meters. The first day can be stressful for some people.
Before this can have problems with altitude, must be prepared
for eventualities how are you, headaches, heart palpitations,
shortness of breath even vomiting.
- If you have any health problem that depends on some special
attention, we recommend that you do not walk the Inca Trail
because at least two days we will be outside of any care you may
want.
- After marking their participation for the Inca Trail, also can

- You must be in Cusco at least 2 days before departure date to
the Inca Trail. This just to confirm their presence and also to
