A day of rafting will teach you some basic techniques, show you some nice scenery near Cusco, and give you a wet, thrilling ride.
Day 01: Cusco- Rio Urubamba- Cusco.
Duration: 09.00am – 05.00pm
At 9:00 AM we leave for the Urubamba River in the Sacred Valley of the Incas (north of Cusco), where our guide will give us an introductory chat on safety and equipment for our trip running the Urubamba. We will raft for around 2 ½ hours in Class II, III.IV+ and V rapids, depending on which route we select. We could be on Huambutio, Class II, Ollantaytambo Class III (We run it from May to December), Quiquijana IV and V (Dec to May). For the last one, which is the hardest? We always take a safety. After lunch we return to Cusco, arriving at around 5:00 PM. The rainy season is a really good time to go rafting because the river gets faster and the waves and other hydraulics are larger. TANDEM PARAGLIDING TRIP (Half Day)
Departure: 8.00 to 10.30 (depending on qty of clients) in private car from Plaza de Armas. Meeting place: la Yunta Restaurant (Plaza de Armas) next to Cathedral. We offer tandem flights for unexperienced people desiring to experience the incredible sensation of free-flight (this is the closest man can get to flying like a bird). Our normal commercial flights are 15-30 minutes depending on the conditions. We don’t like to do sled rides (fly straight down). We try to give the client a real taste of free-flight by catching thermals (warm air currents that help us go up), reaching cloud base and soaring around for awhile in the clouds. For clients interested in extra adrenaline, it’s possible to do some acrobacy (radical manouevers) on request. We also offer special tandem flights: 1. Cross-country flying to Cusco-a 30 km flight from the Sacred Valley to the city of Cusco where we land in the ancient Incan ruins of Sacsayhuaman. The flight can take anywhere from 45 mins.
What is included:
• Transport round trip.
• English speaking guide.
• Complete equipment.
